Tour Overview

Kathmandu – Kerung – Lhasa – Kathmandu

Day 1: 19 September – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

  1. Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our representative will greet you. Transfer to your hotel (Hyatt Place or Radisson) for check-in. Evening: Attend a program briefing over a welcome dinner, where our expert guides will provide a detailed overview of the journey ahead.

Day 2: 20  Sept  – Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation

  1. Complete Tibet (Chinese) VISA formalities (if required, visit to the China VISA Centre)
  2. Begin your day with a guided tour of Kathmandu’s sacred sites, including:

Pashupatinath Temple: A revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. Jal Narayan Temple: Known for its reclining Vishnu statue. Guhyeshwari Temple: A powerful Shakti Peetha. Evening: Witness the enchanting Arati ceremony at Pashupatinath Temple.

Day 3: 21 Sept – Kathmandu Sightseeing & Preparation

  • While awaiting your visa (approximately one day), take the opportunity to wander through the vibrant alleys of Kathmandu, enjoying its eye-catching ancient and World Heritage architecture. Youvcan also visit iconic sightseeing places such as Swayambhunath (Buddha Stupa) and Doleshwor Mahadev. This will be a private trip.

Day 4:  22 Sept – Kathmandu – Rasuwagadhi (Nepal Side)

  1. After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Rasuwagadhi via the majestic himalayan range and lush green valleys.
    Approx. 6 hours scenic drive.
  2. Overnight stay at Rasuwagadhi (Nepal side).

Day 5: 23 Sept  –  Rasuwagadhi – Kerung (Tibet)

  1. After breakfast, short walk to the Nepal–China border.
  2. Complete immigration and customs formalities.
  3. Cross into Tibet and drive to the beautiful town of Kerung.
  4. Overnight stay in Kerung.

Day 6: 24: Sept – Kerung – Saga

  1. Drive to Sanga – 4500 M Altitude – 250 KMs drive from Kerung Travel through the Tibetan plateau, enjoying grand views of the Himalayas
  2. Overnight stay at Saga

Day 7: 25 Sept – Dive Saga – Lake Manasarovar – 4500 M  Altitude

  1. Drive to Lake Manasarovar. Feel immensely spiritual with first glimpse of Holy Manasarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from Horchu Pass and spend time performing rituals.
  2. Spend time performing ritual
  3. Overnight stay in Lake side

Day 8: 26 Sept –  Drive from Lake Manasovar – Darchen (4560m)

  1. Early morning holy bath at the sacred Lake Manasarovar
  2. Enjoy the beautiful and spiritual views of Mount Kailash from the lake
  3. In the afternoon, drive to Darchen (30 km) at an altitude of 4,560 m. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing and preparing for the kora(circumambulation)
  4. Overnight stay in Darchen

Day 9: 27 Sept –  Darchen to Yamadwar – Deraphuk (4890m)

  1. Morning drive to Yamadwar and preparation for the trek
  2. Start the parikrama at Yamdwar. Trek 10km to Deraphuk, with breathtaking views of the North Face of Mount Kailash
  3. Overnight stay at a guest house in Deraphuk

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 10: 28 Sept – Deraphuk – Dolma La Pass – Zuthulphuk – 22 KM trek

  • Trek to Dolma La Pass (5,600m), the most challenging yet spiritually rewarding part of the journey –
  • Pause at the sacred Gauri Kunda Lake for prayer and reflection
  • Descend to Zuthulphuk
  • Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11: 29 Sept – Zuthukphuk – Darchen (4560m)

  • Complete the parikrama with 8 KM trek from Zuthulphuk and
  • Drive back to Darchen for lunch
  • Drive to Saga
  • Overnight Stay at Saga

Day 12: 30 Sept – Saga  – Shigatse

  1. Early morning drive through the vast Tibetan plateau, enjoying stunning landscapes and panoramic Himalayan views. Visit the magnificent Tashi/Lhunpo Monastery and explore Shigatse City, rich in culture and spiritual heritage
  2. Evening visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery.
  3. Shigatse City site seeing in the evening
  4. Overnight in Shigatse.

Day 13: 01 Oct –  Shigatse – Gyantse – Lhasa

  1. Drive to Lhasa via Gyantse, travelling through
  2. Yamdrok Tso Lake
  3. Karola Pass (5,050 m)
  4. Khumbum Stupa
  5. Palkhor Monastery
  6. Continue drive to Lhasa.
  7. Evening free to explore Barkhor Street.
  8. Overnight in Lhasa

Day 14: 02 Oct – Lhasa Full-Day Sightseeing

  1. Immerse yourself in the vibrant, bustling atmosphere of Lhasa City. Visit the world-renowned Potala Palace, the sacred Jokhang (Bhrikuti) Temple, and the lively Barkhor Street, including Norbulingka Summer Palace and monasteries while soaking in breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas
  2. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 15: 03 Oct – Lhasa – Kathmandu (Flight)

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Before 30 days of trip commencement: 20% cancellation charge of the total cost
  • Before 15 days of the trip commencement: 50% cancellation charge
  • Within 7 days: No refund

DOCUMENTS REQUIIRFD

  • Scanned copy of passport required 40 days prior to departure (Applied to all)
  • For Indian citizens: No visa or passport is required for travel only within Nepal

For Kailash Yatra:

  1. Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
    1. 4 passport-size photographs for VISA
    1. Tibet Visa (mandatory) – Our team will help you to get the VISA once you arrive in KTM

PROGRAM CHANGES

  1. In case of program changes due to weather, natural disasters, technical issues, or political situations, any additional expenses must be borne by the participant.
