Overview
The Gokyo Lake Trek is one of the most scenic alternatives in the Everest region, located inside Sagarmatha National Park.
This trek offers breathtaking views of the world’s highest peaks including Mt. Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu, along with the stunning turquoise lakes of Gokyo.
A major highlight is the climb to Gokyo Ri, offering one of the best panoramic views in the Himalayas.
The trail passes through traditional Sherpa villages, alpine forests, rivers, and glaciers. Compared to Everest Base Camp, this route is quieter but equally rewarding.
Best seasons: March–May and September–November.

Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival at Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel, evening briefing and welcome dinner.
Day 02 – Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding
Scenic flight to Lukla, then easy trek to Phakding.
Day 03 – Trek to Namche Bazaar
Cross suspension bridges and climb towards Namche Bazaar.
Day 04 – Acclimatization Day
Hike to Everest View Hotel and explore Khumjung village.
Day 05 – Trek to Phortse Thanga
